SARS-CoV-2 (“CoVid-19”) continues to show unusual evolution for a coronavirus.

The genome of the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been observed to be between 29.8 kb to 29.9 kb in size, and its sequence differs substantially from some of the previously identiﬁed human corona viruses including SARS and the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) (Khailany et al., 2020; Chaw et al., 2020).
